Indira Stefanianna Christopherson
Indira Stefanianna Christopherson (also known as Indira Danks, Stefanianna Christopherson, and Indira Stefanianna ) was the voice for Daphne in the 1969 - 1970 original Scooby Doo television series series. Christopherson did little voice over work other than that of Daphne. Her only other voice credits are as Princess Dawn from "Here Comes the Grump" in 1969 and providing additional voices in the 1977 Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels series.
In Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels, it was a mini-Scooby Doo reunion. In that series, Christopherson worked with Nicole Jaffe, Casey Kasem, Don Messick, and Frank Welker. This, of course, was the entire cast of voices for the original Scooby Doo series in which Jaffe voiced Velma, Kasem voiced Shaggy, Messick voiced Scooby, and Welker voiced Fred. That series also included work by Heather North, who replaced Christopherson as the voice of Daphne beginning in 1970.
In addition to her career as a voice actor, Ms. Christopherson is a super talented a singer, song composer, actress, and producer. Television shows in which she has appeared include M*A*S*H, as Lt. O'Brien, Sanford and Son, and Mayberry R.F.D. She also a done quite a bit of theatre. Recently, it appears that Christopherson's focus has been on her son, her music, and her many other endeavors.
