A Tiki Scare is No Fair is the 23rd episode in the original Scooby Doo Where Are You series. Spoiler Alert - details of this Scooby Doo episode are below.
The gang is in Hawaii. Scooby and Shaggy are on the beach at a Luau when drums start mysteriously playing by themselves. The natives start to panic. In the panic, Scooby and the tour guide, John Simms, disappear. Shaggy heads out to find the rest of the gang, who are at a local malt shop.
There, Shaggy tells Fred, Daphne, and Velma what happened and they all head back to the beach. Once there, a set of drums start chasing them, turns out it is Scooby hiding in the drums. However, there is no sign of John Simms. The gang also keep seeing a mysterious old man, who always disappears.
All clues point to an ancient abandoned village that is supposed haunted by a witch doctor and Mano Tiki Tia. Of course, the gang heads to the abandoned village. Once at the ancient village, the gang run into both the witch doctor and Mano Tiki Tia, who just happens to be a 30 foot statute. Both the witch doctor and Mano Tika Tia try and capture the gang. Mano Tika Tia accidently captures the Witch Doctor and both fall into a hole, trapping them. The mysterious old man appears and it turns out that he is an undercover policeman from the Hawaii police department.
- The Monster: The Witch Doctor and Mano Tiki Tia
- The Villian: John Simms
- Why: Simms wanted to scare off the natives so he pouch pearls and sell them on the blackmarket.
